Kunshan is a prefecture-level city in Suzhou, a municipality in eastern China’s Jiangsu Province. It is on the east shore of Lake Taihu, the second largest freshwater lake in China, surrounded on all sides by the cities of Shanghai and Suzhou. It is home to many popular tourist attractions including Tiger Hill, the Grand Canal and several large shopping malls.
Kunshan is known for its rich culture and history and has a long tradition of art and learning. The city has preserved many unique examples of traditional architecture and craftsmanship, most notably its distinctive stone archways and gates. The city boasts a large number of ancient temples, monasteries, palaces and gardens.

Kunshan is well connected with the rest of Jiangsu Province, with good transport links to both Shanghai and Suzhou. The city also boasts its own prestigious university, boasting a wide range of faculties and a diverse student body. Kunshan is a modern and vibrant city with a rich cultural heritage and plenty to offer both visitors and locals alike.
